Through its social programmes, Adamed supports the development of science in Poland, educates the public, and contributes to promoting health and preventing disease.

At Adamed, we believe that the development of science in Poland is critical for boosting innovation and ensuring the country’s economic success. This is why Adamed shares its know-how, collaborates with the academic community, and supports the most talented young people in Poland.
Health promotion and disease prevention
For many years now, Adamed has run programmes which aim at promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing disease, raising health awareness, and improving the understanding of the needs of patients and their families.
Support for scientific advancement
ADAMED SmartUP
A scientific and educational programme operated by the Adamed Foundation and aimed at secondary schools. Its objective is to support talented young people aged 14–19 in their scientific development, as well as to promote physical and life sciences.
ADAMED SmartUP is…
- A scholarship programme in which we select the most talented students aged 15–19. We then support their development by offering them an opportunity to work with leading scientists from Poland and other countries. Weorganise innovative science camps, and provide them with academic scholarships.
- An educational platform intended to motivate students to research independently and to disseminate theirnew found knowledge through a dedicated website and social media – Facebook and Instagram.
- ADAMED SmartUP Academy is a programme of free science workshops for teenagers organised at various locations across Poland in partnership with renowned universities. To date, over 1,100 young people passionate about physical and life sciences have participated in the workshops.
Health promotion and disease prevention
Adamed for Seniors
The aim of the “Adamed for Seniors” social programme is to promote activity among the elderly.
Through this programme, Adamed supports seniors, provides them with information, and encourages them to adopt a more active lifestyle in order to maintain their health and physical fitness. The programme also includes activities related to disease prevention, helping to detect health conditions at an early stage, and overcome stereotypes about the everyday life of the elderly.
Find Yourself
Adamed is a national partner of the “Find Yourself” programme which seeks toovercome social barriers related to the treatment of mental and neurological disorders. The objective of the programme is to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and treatment of mental and neurological disorders, as well as to spread knowledge about health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Deep Breath
This national prevention and educational programme run by Adamed seeks to raise public awareness of the causes and effects of respiratory system diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
New at Heart
Within the framework of this educational and information programme, Adamed undertakes initiatives to increase the levels of physical, social, and professional activity in people with cardiovascular diseases. The aim of the programme is to overcome stereotypes and help people understand that patients with cardiovascular disease can be active in both their professional and private lives.
