Adamed on closed circle economy

2 November 2021

Jakub Frąk, Head of Work Safety and Environmental Protection at Adamed Pharma was one of the participants of the panel "Initiating closed circle economy " during this year's Impact'21 event, which took place on 27-28 October in Poznań.

Closed circle economy is a concept in which products, materials and raw materials should remain in the economy for as long as possible, and the generation of waste should be minimized. This idea takes into account all stages of the product life cycle, starting from its design, through production, waste collection, to its management.

Jakub Frąk presented how the idea of closed circle economy works in the pharmaceutical industry:

Although the closed circle economy in the pharmaceutical industry is quite complicated, it offers a lot of opportunities. Adamed has been paying special attention to this issue for several years. We work with several universities in Poland, for instance in the field of sewage ozonation or smart energy management. These projects bring us closer and closer to the closed circle economy. Adamed is consistently going in this direction.

Impact is a place for exchanging views and entering into substantive discussions on business, politics, science and modern technologies. A wide group of experts generates an in-depth discussion and creates an opportunity to work out solutions that may turn out to be essential in building the development potential of the Polish economy.
