Magdalena Krakowiak appointed IQMED President
Magdalena Krakowiak, Public Affairs and CSR Head of Adamed’s representative office in Vietnam has been elected for another term in office as the President of International Quality Medicines (IQMED) – Generics and Biosimilar Sector.
IQMED operates within the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Eurocham), and Magdalena Krakowiak will remain its President for another year.
The European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) signed on 30 June 2019 in Hanoi is a huge opportunity for Polish businesses. Vietnam boasts a competitive economy and the Vietnamese pharmaceutical market is one of the fastest-growing in the world. Considering the changes in law and the speed of the legislative processes, it was a busy year for the Committee. In this context, Magdalena Krakowiak’s appointment comes as yet another enormous success for her and only confirms her stellar business track record.
Since 2017, Adamed has owned the Vietnamese company Davipharm – a local pharmaceutical champion. The acquisition of a controlling interest in the company constitutes the biggest Polish direct investment in Vietnam so far and provides Adamed with a platform for further dynamic expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
