Adamed on World Heart Day
Almost 300 people benefited from free prophylactic examinations organised by Adamed during the World Heart Day celebrated in Katowice.
The event organised by the Polish Cardiac Society took place on Sunday, 29 September, on the market square in Katowice. As honorary patron of the event, Adamed took an active part in the celebration and prepared a special zone for prophylactic examinations, which attracted great interest from event participants. Almost 300 individuals underwent blood pressure and cholesterol level tests. Adamed representatives also presented products, provided information on secondary prevention of heart attacks and strokes and distributed Polish apples and mineral water. The company’s stand was also visited by the youngest event attendees for whom a wide range of attractions was prepared.
The overall aim of the World Heart Day is education on the prevention of heart diseases. This year’s celebration featured free specialist examinations, first aid workshops, cardiological consultations, promotional and educational activities focused on healthy eating and physical activity.
