ALSTAL Construction Group has received the 1st degree prize in the “Construction Project of the Year 2022” competition for the completion of the P4 packaging building and the warehouse of ready dosage forms of the Production and Logistics Centre of Adamed Pharma in Pabianice. The competition is organised by the Polish Union of Construction Engineers and Technicians.
The enlargement of the Production and Logistics Centre in Pabianice is one of the key elements of Adamed Pharma S.A. operations. The project will result in an increase in the company’s production and warehousing capacities, and it will support the digitalization of logistics, production and quality processes.
“Thanks to the extension of the Production and Logistics Centre in Pabianice, one of the most advanced facilities of this kind in the Polish pharmaceutical industry is not only operating successfully, but also growing. The multi-faceted extension programme will double Adamed Pharma’s production capacity through the construction of integrated buildings of the packaging area and distribution warehouse, which will be coupled with the implementation of modern IT systems (WMS, MES), as well as components of industrial automation and robotic solutions. As a result, our drug packaging, storage and distribution potential has significantly increased. The investment activities undertaken and planned for the next stages make it possible to respond responsibly to the needs of Polish patients as regards medicines and to provide them with stable access to effective therapies,” says Bartłomiej Rodawski, Operations Director and Member of the Management Board at Adamed Pharma S.A.
The investment included the construction of a finished dosage form warehouse and packaging building, along with all the associated infrastructure, with a total volume exceeding 160,000 m3.
“I am delighted to have received such a prestigious award. The construction of the packaging facility and finished dosage form warehouse is an example of the use of the most advanced solutions of this type in the Polish pharmaceutical industry. I would like to thank and congratulate the entire team behind the completion of the construction project and in particular Michał Bek, ALSTAL Site Manager, and Adam Kamiński, ALSTAR Project Manager, alongside whom I had the pleasure of receiving the award,” says Łukasz Jabłoński, Head of the ALSTAL Branch in Łódź.
