Polish Economic Nobel Prize
The ceremony, attended by Bronisław Komorowski, the President of the Republic of Poland, took place on May 29th of this year at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. This year is the X edition of the President’s Economic Award. It is a prestigious distinction for companies and scientific teams that show remarkable contribution to the development of the national economy, building its prestige and image.
„Receiving such a prestigious distinction as the nomination to the Economic Award of the President of Republic of Poland is for us a great honor. It also confirms that the path we chose to take over 25 years ago has proven to be the right and necessary one. I would like to thank all of the institutions and research centers, which through their cooperation with the Adamed Group in various research platforms, helps us on an everyday basis to carry out our mission. I am convinced that thanks to the synergy between science, business and a supportive legislative environment, the Polish pharmaceutical industry is on a good path towards innovation” – said Maciej Adamkiewicz.
Besides the Adamed Group, also nominated in the „Innovation” category were: Sunex S.A. and The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing – the latter being the winner of the category and recipient of the President’s Economic Award. This award, also called the Polish Economy Nobel Prize, is aimed to honor and promote the best Polish companies and research centers involved in market production. The jury is comprised of 21 individuals who represent business, academia and the press. The Prize was established in 1998 byPresident Aleksander Kwaśniewski and was awarded until 2005. President Komorowski decided to reinstate it.
