Polish start-ups to receive support from Adamed Group
Within the programme, for the coming three months, the Adamed Group will collaborate with Cycle, creating ovulation cycle tracking technology, Medical Simulation Technologies, creators of a transoesophageal echocardiography simulator, SensoriumLab, working on a device for monitoring patients at risk of pleural effusion, and Smart Textiles, aiming to patent a sensor to monitor the temperature of sensitive products.
Unique mentorship
Each of those companies will benefit from support from mentors collaborating with or working in the Adamed Group. They will share their expertise for instance in building business models, creating sales and marketing strategies, developing products, and marketing them in compliance with appropriate diagnostic and telemedicine technologies requirements. In addition, they will provide information on the protection of intellectual property in the area of med-tech and will help establish contacts with leading authorities in selected therapeutic areas. The role of the Adamed Group will also be to assist start-ups in the process of the 24-step programme devised by Professor Bill Aullet, whose methodology is used by MITEF Poland.
Partnership in the service of innovation
The Adamed Group is a strategic partner of Ścieżka Zdrowie [Path: Health] in MITEF Poland’s acceleration programme based on the know-how of one of the world’s leading technology universities — the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The aim of the project is to support innovative Polish micro and small businesses developing unique technologies in accelerating the commercialisation of the solutions proposed. The project is co-financed by a grant from MITEF Poland in the pilot Scale Up competition implemented as part of the Start In Poland governmental programme.
120 start-ups, among others in the financial, energy, life science, and raw materials sectors, sent applications to MITEF. Twenty-three of these, selected by elimination, will undergo a three-month accelerated process and the top five will go to a weekly Bootcamp at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.
