Young European leaders visit Adamed
Within the framework of the programme, young Europeans can take part in study visits to some of Poland’s showpiece companies. Among them is the pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Adamed which invited foreign guests to visit its Research and Development Centre in Pieńków near Warsaw. The company’s head office received a visit from sixteen guests from all over Europe, including Romania, Spain, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia and Albania.
During the meeting, the employees presented Adamed’s mission and history, talked about its investment in research and development, and explained how innovative medicinal products are developed and implemented. The meeting ended with a Q&A session with Maciej Adamkiewicz, President of the Management Board of Adamed, and a visit to the research laboratories.
The Polish International Leadership Visiting programme is coordinated by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology. It aims to attract outstanding young leaders from European countries representing academia, the media, start-ups, non-governmental organisations, business and politics.
